We classify the contract. Drop a PDF in and Citrus tells you what it’s looking at — SaaS, services, supply, lease, NDA — and applies the right lens. No playbook to write. No configuration to maintain.

We benchmark every clause. Auto-renewal length, liability cap, SLA, termination rights — every clause gets a market-comparison and a position. We won’t just flag a clause; we’ll tell you what better looks like.

We hand you the redline. Plain-English explanation of what to push on, exact counter-language to send the supplier, and the receipts to back it up. Procurement closes 60% of these without escalating. Legal handles what’s left, faster.

PRINCIPLES

How we build.

01 · HOLD

Trust is a product feature.

Tenant-key encryption is a Starter feature, not an Enterprise upsell. The audit log is on by default. We’d rather make less money than tier-gate the things that earn the trust to charge any.

02 · HOLD

Every flag cites its source.

If we surface a clause as off-market, the panel shows the benchmark we’re comparing against and where it came from. No vibes-based flags. If we can’t cite it, we don’t raise it.

03 · BUILD

Founder answers every demo.

There is no BDR layer. There is no qualifying call. You book a 20-minute slot, the founder shows up, you bring a real contract. If Citrus isn’t the fit, we say so on the call — not in a polite no-thanks email two weeks later.

04 · REFUSE

We will not sell your contracts as training data.

Not now, not later, not as part of a pivot, not via a subsidiary. It’s in the DPA. It’s in the audit log. It’s the default. If a future investor asks us to change that, the investor leaves, not the policy.

05 · REFUSE

We will not ship a feature that replaces your legal team.

Citrus is a triage layer. It flags what a lawyer should look at, and what procurement can close without escalation. If a customer asks us to auto-sign on their behalf, the answer is no. Forever.
